The project<\/strong><\/h3><\/div>

In a context where energy costs are rising in the European Union, manufacturing SMEs face major difficulties to stay\u00a0competitive. Meanwhile, the ambitious green objectives of the European Commission must be matched and require\u00a0the investment of all stakeholders, including manufacturing SMEs.<\/p>

The Green Manufacturing and Advanced Net-zero\u00a0Technology Innovations project (GreenMantis) aims to help the manufacturing value chain transition to green practices\u00a0through the adoption and scaling up of new net-zero technologies<\/strong>.<\/p>

GreenMantis gathers\u00a0six leading European clusters<\/strong>\u00a0to cover the whole manufacturing\/energy value chain and ensure the\u00a0connection between all relevant stakeholders throughout the value chain.\u00a0GreenMantis develops a\u00a0comprehensive innovation support scheme<\/strong>\u00a0to help both manufacturing and energy companies\u00a0develop and adopt new net-zero technologies, such as\u00a0electricity grid improvements, energy system-related energy\u00a0efficiency, and transformative industrial technologies for decarbonization<\/strong>. To address the difficulties faced by these\u00a0companies, GreenMantis offers financial support for projects leading to the development and adoption of new net-zero\u00a0technologies in the manufacturing field, resulting in better industrial green processes and scalable solutions replicable in other contexts.
Additionally, GreenMantis addresses other limitations of SMEs by offering free training\u00a0and internationalization services, allowing for the upskilling of their workforce and better capabilities to address new\u00a0markets, making them more sustainable.<\/p>

The innovation support scheme<\/span><\/p>

Green Mantis will launch and develop an innovation support scheme aimed at funding innovative projects from European manufacturing SMEs on net-zero solutions. The solutions will have to focus on selected topics, such as <\/span>electricity grid improvements, energy system-related energy efficiency, and transformative industrial technologies for decarbonization.<\/strong><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
Green Mantis – First Open Call for SMEs<\/span><\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div><\/div><\/div>

As part of this innovation support scheme, GreenMantis will launch its first Open Call<\/strong> to support collaborative innovation projects led by European SMEs working on net-zero solutions.<\/p>

Aims to accelerate the development and validation of technologies that contribute to greener industrial processes and improved energy performance in manufacturing. Selected projects will focus on areas such as electricity grid technologies, energy efficiency solutions, and transformative industrial technologies that contribute to industrial decarbonisation.<\/p>

Through this initiative, at least 10 collaborative projects<\/strong> will be supported with funding of up to \u20ac100,000 per project<\/strong>.<\/p>

ALPHA-RLH<\/strong><\/p>

The French Competitiveness Cluster\u00a0ALPHA-RLH<\/strong>, based in the Nouvelle Aquitaine Region, gathers talents and players in the Photonics & Microwaves areas. The cluster facilitates progress and innovation to boost the economic development of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. ALPHA-RLH is structured around two strategic technological fields, Photonics-Lasers and Microwaves-Electronics, with the support of digital tools, to serve four markets: Health (Medical Devices and Autonomy), Communication-Security, Aeronautics-Space-Defence and Energy-Smart Buildings. The cluster assists companies and laboratories in setting up, evaluating and funding innovative projects, supports innovative businesses’ growth, international development and access to new markets. It has over 290 members, the majority of which are within the Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine.<\/div>

The Metal-Mechanical Cluster of Castilla-La Mancha (<\/span>ITECAM<\/strong>), founded in 2002 as a non-profit business association, aims to enhance the competitiveness of companies in the metalworking and manufacturing sectors. Its focus is on driving innovation, supporting the development of green and sustainable solutions, primarily for SMEs in the region, and advancing technologies through specialized departments, including hydrogen technologies, digital transformation, and digital design and manufacturing. Representing 356 companies, the cluster plays a pivotal role in fostering industrial and technological progress by offering high-value services such as advanced technological solutions, R&D consultancy, and customized training programs. Furthermore, ITECAM, as the region\u2019s leading technology centre, leverages its advanced resources and expertise to drive European strategic objectives, offering valuable support in research, development, and innovation.<\/span><\/p>

Cluster \u201cInteligentna Energija<\/strong>\u201d is a network of SMEs that contribute to the strengthening of RES industry and energy efficiency with their creative approach. Cluster \u201cInteligentna Energija\u201c\u2018s mission is to create new green jobs through production of solutions and systems as well as through delivery and\u00a0continuous care for installed plants and technology. Cluster \u201cInteligentna Energija\u201d is focused on green\u00a0technologies in areas of hydro-energy (small hydro power plants), solar-energy (PV and thermal systems), wind\u00a0energy (offshore and onshore), geothermal energy, biomass, heat pumps and energy efficiency, all of which havehigh employment potential. Cluster\u2019s activities contribute to economical growth, installation of new energy sources,\u00a0and higher security of energy supply, better environmental conditions and lower gas emissions.<\/p>

PRODUTECH embodies collective\u00a0efficiency strategies aimed at innovating, qualifying and modernizing the developers and users of manufacturing technologies.\u00a0PRODUTECH has 140 members, 75% being companies. CONFEMI associated companies are organized into 20 value chains, of which 15 are manufacturing value chains\u00a0such as, for instance, Automotive, Industrial Vehicles; Machine Tools; Metals and Composite Materials; Mobility and Logistics;\u00a0Packaging.
