Empowering the Future: The Green Small Smart Cities Project Concludes with Remarkable Success. The Green Small Smart Cities (GSSC) project, a beacon of international cooperation and sustainability, draws to a close after an intensive 30 months of endeavour. Funded by the European Union under the COSME programme (GA Proposal Number: 951203)<\/em>, GSSC has exemplified a robust commitment to fostering collaboration between 5 European strategic clusters, paving the way for global partnerships in fields of strategic interest beyond Europe.<\/p>\n

GSSC: Nurturing Smart Cities for a Sustainable Future<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A \\’smart\\’ city encompasses innovation, entrepreneurship, economic activity, knowledge and talent generation, and a digital society and economy. GSSC set out to construct this intelligent amalgamation through purposeful citizen activities and sound resource management. Its focus was to assess the opportunities and necessities of cities in developing countries, ranging from energy infrastructure to digital connectivity and sustainable resource utilization.<\/p>\n

Empowering the Global Community<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The GSSC project stands as a testament to the European Union\\’s commitment to supporting less developed regions of the world. It facilitated the dissemination of sustainable technological solutions, driving the internationalization strategy of innovative European SMEs with shared visions of building a better world.<\/p>\n

GSSC\\’s General Objectives<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The GSSC consortium\\’s overarching objective was to establish the European Strategic Cluster Partnership in the Green Small Smart Cities sector (GSSC ESCP-4i). This partnership aimed to spread the use of sustainable technological solutions from Europe to less developed regions worldwide. The consortium, consisting of five highly complementary members, focused on a specific market niche: Small Cities.<\/p>\n

The General Objectives Were:  <\/strong><\/h4>\n

  1. Objective 1 (O1):<\/strong> Intensify cluster and business cooperation across borders by promoting cross-sectoral collaboration and strengthening the value chain.<\/li>\n
  2. Objective 2 (O2):<\/strong> Merge different innovation players from water, ICT, energy, and nanotechnology into GSSC\\’s sector.<\/li>\n
  3. Objective 3 (O3):<\/strong> Establish European Strategic Partnerships in the GSSC sector.<\/li>\n
  4. Objective 4 (O4):<\/strong> Promote competitiveness and internationalization of GSSC project cluster members and SMEs in Europe and beyond.<\/li>\n
  5. Objective 5 (O5):<\/strong> Improve the visibility of the consortium and affiliated SME entities on an international scale.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
